Root Module Pre-Post Condition

What are Preconditions?

These are a set of steps selected, which is called “Step group”, that will be executed before the “Step” execution in the steps tab.

What are Post -the conditions?

These are a set of steps selected, which is called a “Step group”, that will be executed after the “Step” execution in the steps tab.

Prerequisites for Pre-Post Conditions:

To create a pre-condition or post-condition, the steps need to be added and a “Step group” of those steps should be formed.

Navigation for Pre-Post Conditions screen:

Home icon > Test Development > <Module name> > <Script name> > Pre-Post Condition

Scenarios to add Pre-Post conditions:

There are three scenarios:

  1. Root level pre-post conditions.
  2. Module level pre-post conditions.
  3. Script level pre-post conditions.

Root level pre-post conditions

Navigation for Pre-Post Conditions screen:

Home icon > Test Development > <Root module> > Settings > Pre-Post Condition.

Pre –Conditions for Root level

Adding Pre-Condition

  • Click on the “+ PreCondition” button.

  • Upon clicking on the “+ PreCondition” button, the user will be prompted to the text field of the “Step Group” column.

  • When clicked on any particular “Step group” in the table, a “Step Group Input Parameter” div is displayed which is explained in Module Level Pre-Condition. (Refer- Module level Pre Conditions- Step Group Input Parameter div)

Columns present under the Pre-Conditions table for Root level:

The columns present under Root-level Pre- Conditions are the same as columns present under Module level Pre-Conditions and it is explained in Module Level Pre-Conditions (Refer: Columns present under Pre-Conditions table for Module level).

Post –Conditions for Root level

Adding Post-Condition

  • Click on the “+ Post Condition” button.

  • Upon clicking on the “+ Post Condition” button, the user will be prompted to the text field of the “Step Group” column.

  • When clicked on any particular “Step group” in the table, a “Step Group Input Parameter” popup is displayed which is explained above. (Refer-Module level Post Conditions- Step Group Input Parameter div).

The columns present under Root-level Post-Conditions are the same as columns present under Module level Post-Conditions which is explained in Module Level Pre-Condition. (Refer: Columns present under Post-Conditions table in Module level).
